Coarse - Improvers Course

A day’s course can be tailored to the client’s requirements, but would usually cover:

•  How to catch more fish
•  How to catch bigger fish
•  How to to set up float and ledger rods with various rigs

How to fish the POLE
The pole has taken the fishing world by storm in recent years and is now the preferred method of attack by match fisherman.

•  We use good quality poles from 8 meters in length for the margins, right up to 16 meters for fishing the far shelf on canals or commercial fisheries

•  We also use 5 and 6 meter whips for small silver fish. We will show you how to thread the pole with the elastic, which type of elastic to use for which fish and how to play match size carp on 16 to 20 elastic. The setting up and construction of pole rigs will also be covered.

How to target specific species of fish
The increasingly popular commercial fisheries are a great venue on which to learn. We will visit one of these fisheries and endeavour to catch a reasonable bag of carp or silver fish.
